The project-based approach – what does it actually involve?
My approach to design doesn’t start at a drawing board.
It stems from experience.
Frankfurt, Paris, Shanghai…
Ten years away from home taught me to observe, to compare cultures, ways of living and different sensibilities.
Then came the years working in South Tyrol, where I learnt the value of rigour, attention to detail and a deep respect for the design process.
A carefully designed space does not follow trends: it transcends them. It retains its value because it stems from a balance between functionality, proportions, light and materials – elements that do not go out of fashion if conceived with consistency. This is how a design remains enduring over time, adapting without losing its identity.
